Overview
Wolf Creek is a fantasy calendar come to life, with holes clinging to stark canyon hillsides and plunging down narrow ravines. A genuine amateur architect design (although Jim Engh provided an early routing), Wolf Creek finished third in Golf Digest's survey of America's Best New Upscale Public Courses of 2001, behind Pacific Dunes and Arcadia Bluffs (Bluffs). All three are now ranked among America's 100 Greatest Public Courses.

“Spectacular views all around. Very unique setting, worth the 1.5 hour drive if you are staying in Vegas. Challenging course!"

“Located about an hour east of Las Vegas on the Arizona border, Wolf Creek feels like a video game course with 18 unique, wild golf holes running up and down desert hills. While the course lacks cohesion and features some silly holes, the variety is excellent and there are some fantastic and memorable holes here. The value here is also strong compared to most Las Vegas courses. This cart-only course is quite polarizing but something everyone should experience once."

“Elevation changes and design variety make Wolf Creek a must play. Each hole has its own feel and characteristics that doesn’t overwhelm a player allowing players of all handicaps to enjoy the course."

“A course you must play at least once in your life time. You will either love it or hate it, but it will amaze you. Try to play when it is not windy for a much more enjoyable experience."

“This is a very unique and fun course. There's a lot of elevation change and the fairways often weave through a series of valleys . Some of the tee boxes are highly elevated and require precise shots. It took some real imagination to find a golf course among these bluffs and hills. Well worth the time and money."

“Crazy elevation changes. Must be careful driving carts."

“This course is very divisive. Some think it is extraordinary. Other, like me, think it is so over the top that it represents what is worst in golf. It is in the desert but is wall to wall green. It is hilly and driving a cart can be terrifying. It is, on the other hand, nothing short of stunning, visually. Play it and decide for yourself. Remember to allow five hours or more. There is a lot of driving."

“A course that you have to play at least one time. Great contrast from the desert to the green fairways and greens. Some very good holes, and a few that leave you scratching your head. Good luck if the wind is blowing."
