The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa: Pete Dye Resort
Rancho Mirage, CA • Public
Overview
The Pete Dye-designed course at The Westin Rancho Mirage opened in 1987 and features generally flat fairways and undulating greens. Though the course is relatively forgiving off the tee, providing golfers ample room to get the ball in play, there are water hazards and deep bunkers lurking should you stray too far from the fairway. As with most courses in the Palm Springs area, there are beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

“Original Pete Dye designed course at the Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage, CA. Challenging par 70 layout with yardages ranging from 6706 to 4841 with relatively flat fairways and greens. Water impacted play on 5 holes with deep fairway bunkers and waste areas on virtually all remaining holes. Accuracy off the tee and into the greens was critical to avoid bunkers and penalty areas. When played course was in fair shape - fairway grass was thin / nonexistent in some places with patchy greens on several holes."

“Great Pete Dye layout. Not penal off the tee but very interesting green complexes. Fairways and greens were in good shape but they do not overseed the rough so it's dormant in the winter. Great value"
