Overview
One of the most scenic courses in the southwest, Sand Hollow’s Championship course has several holes that play on the edge of jagged cliffs. The front nine is a relatively straightforward desert layout with well-placed bunkers. The back side features more elevation change as golfers play along a towering ridgeline, which falls off dramatically into a red rock canyon on the left. For the views alone—not to mention the strategic design—this is a must-play in southern Utah.

“Sand Hollow's Championship Course is a really unique course located in Southern Utah about 2 hours from Las Vegas. The terrain here is wildly unique with red sand bunkers and beautiful mountains in the distance. Most who play the course will talk about hole 11-15, which defy belief and are some of the most unique and memorable I've seen, playing on the side of a cliff. The remaining holes play on flatter ground and almost linksy with firm conditions and an emphasis on the ground game. Some holes such as 9 and 10 don't get as much attention but are excellent in their own right. The course suffer a bit with some repetitiveness on the front 9 but this is a course I highly recommend to golfers in this very isolated part of the country."

“One of the 10 most scenic courses in America. Front nine winds thru the desert brush with really well placed bunkers. Then you hit the back 9 and it may be the most scenic 9 that is not on an ocean in America. Great drivable par 4 number 13 and the par 3 number 15 is unreal and can be played from many angles and distances. Just a great great golf course."

“May be the best course in Utah! The front 9 is pretty solid; the back 9 is breath taking with some fantastic views. Can be windy, and during those times will be very challenging. The red sand in their bunkers is very appropriate for southern Utah. A must play if you are ever in the area."

“Maybe the best course in Utah. Front nine is very nice. Back nine (11-14) is unbelievable! Good greens and fairways. Play it twice."

“OK front 9 but very interesting back 9. Lots of risk / reward holes on the back."

“An outstanding and aesthetically beautiful course. Unlike some other courses that weave through mountains, Sand Hollow presents a perfect combination of strategy, challenge, and beauty."

“Very scenic layout with majestic views on many holes. Pretty forgiving design with wide fairways and some interesting shots due to elevation changes. Not overly challenging but a fun course to play."

“I think this is the best course in Utah. The scenery is wonderful, and is before you hit the cliffside stretch on the back nine. The red sand is so unique and nature to the environment. The angles and shot options are wonderful all the way through. Then the stretch of holes from #11-14 is unlike anything you've played and may be more dramatic than having ocean there."

“Uniquely "desert golf" with light tan sand surroundings (but red bunkers) with lush, dark green fairways/greens. The stretch of Nos. 12-15 felt otherworldly playing alongside a 300' canyon cliff drop-off. Great shot options at the par three 14th with multiple angled and recessed tee boxes nestled in between massive stone structures climbing out of the Earth. Felt like a walk through Zion National Park that just happens to have a golf course carved into it."

“Wow! The views on this course are amazing, the mixture of desert, green fairways and green, mixed with the red clay mountains is amazing, especially holes 12 thru 16. The clubhouse and facility are top notch for this public course. This is a must play in Utah golf"

“Except for a few holes on the back side, this course does not knock your sock off. It is, however, a solid course that keeps your attention and allows the player to either play in the air or along the ground. The pro shop and snack bar leave a lot to be desired."
