With the Ryder Cup just over a month away, all eyes are on Captain Zach Johnson as the roster grows and captain’s picks are finalized. While we may not know exactly what the U.S. Team will look like, we just got a sneak peek as to what they will be wearing to compete in Rome. Ralph Lauren will again outfit the Americans at Marco Simone G.C. during the competition, practice rounds, the coveted Welcome Dinner and the Opening Ceremony. Expect to see the caddies and plus ones outfitted in Ralph Lauren as well. Here’s a look at the uniforms the U.S. Team will be wearing on the course and how you can match each look watching from home.

To start out the week, Team USA will keep it simple with solid red, white and blue through the practice rounds. Each golf shirt features the Ryder Cup logo at the chest and will be paired with a blue trouser. The solid base gives room for players to dress up their look with the variety of layering options provided by Ralph Lauren for the tournament. We’re expecting to see a lot of the cashmere hoodie that had everyone talking at the 2021 Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits, but also hope to see players mix is up with the preppy cable knit sweater or star-covered pullover jacket included in the Ralph Lauren uniform package.

For the Thursday Practice round ahead of the Opening Ceremony, the team will blend the patriotic color palette into a color-blocked stripe look. Having a solid navy block at the top third of the shirt remixes the traditional (and often redundant) striped golf shirt look. The addition of single red and royal blue stripes among the navy and white alternating bottom of the shirt gives it an extra patriotic touch without feeling too much like a flag design. Matching the brighter blue block on the golf shirt, the team is scripted to wear the brightest trousers of the week with this Americana ensemble.

When the competition officially begins on Friday, Captain ZJ’s squad will show up in a primarily navy look that is refined and professional. Pairing navy trousers with a matching golf shirt, enlivened by thin white stripes, is a classic look as long as the shades are identical and tailoring is impeccable. Every piece was fitted with custom tailoring for each player that will pull together the upscale Americana looks.

On Saturday, the team will bring yet another non-traditional stripe motif to the competition in a white golf shirt divided with a navy and a red stripe across the chest. This look is great for golfers looking to wear stripes without accentuated the waist area, as horizontal stripes tend to do.

To finish out the tournament, Ralph Lauren designed an exclusive Ryder Cup-themed pant for the players to wear that looks like a simple navy at first glance, but actually features an allover embossed microprint. The print includes tournament-inspired motifs like the Ryder Cup logo, golf clubs and techy “USA” lettering. On top, players will wear a navy and white color-blocked golf shirt with two red stripes across the chest. It’s a lively and athletic look the team hopes to be wearing while hoisting the trophy at the end of the competition.
