Min Woo Lee admires his own flop shot on social media, coins great new golf term in the process
The Min Woo Lee experience is so fun that even Min Woo himself can't help following along.
After a Friday 67 that has the rising star in contention at the BMW PGA Championship, the 25-year-old took to social media to help spread the highlight of his filthy flop shot on the final hole. He also may have just coined the next great golf phrase in the process.
First things first, here's the ridiculously good flop shot from the rough behind Wentworth's finishing hole:
Wow. How good is that? Well, we'll let Min Woo answer that question himself. First on Twitter:
And then on Instagram:
"My chip in yesterday was good," Lee writes, "but this floppaddoppollus was on another level." No argument here, Min Woo. And absolutely love FLOPPADDOPPOLLUS. That's almost as good as SHANKAPOTAMUS! Although, if we're going to make this a thing, we're probably going to want to lock in on a uniform spelling of the term. Personally, we'd drop the second 'D.' It's cleaner.
Anyway, it should come as no surprise that Lee pulled this one off considering the flop shot tutorials the two-time DP World Tour winner has been sharing on Instagram recently:
Like his older sister Minjee, who won her ninth career LPGA Tour title last week, this dude has some serious game. And the fact that he knows that makes it even better. Let him cook, indeed. Oh, and let's make FLOPPADOPALLUS happen.
