“For those looking for a buddy trip or group of courses to visit, the Barefoot Resort is the place to be with 4 courses to choose from. I am not sure I would put the Dye Course at the top of the Barefoot courses, but it is typical Pete Dye design with the diabolical bunkers."

“The Dye course at Barefoot has a few outstanding holes such as the drivable 10th with water on the inside of the soft dogleg left with an elevated green and the par 4 18th which to me was a kinder, softer and more playable version of the 18th at Sawgrass. Fun and not as penal, the Dye course does a good job in context with Barefoot providing a much different look/feel than the other 3 courses."

“This course is not nearly as good as it was when I played it the first time soon after it opened. Conditioning has impacted its playability as the bunkers are rock hard as carts are now driven through them. In addition, massive watering makes the greens so soft that it impacts play. This course is not playing as designed, which is a shame as the layout is good."
